Temporary closure of Welcome Center-area infrastructure begins May 19

Renovation of the Mississippi State University Welcome Center at the Cullis Wade Depot on B.S. Hood Drive begins May 19, temporarily closing sidewalks and parking inside the designated construction zone.

A fiber and power outage that will impact multiple buildings on the south side of campus is scheduled for May 19-21. The outage is necessary for ongoing infrastructure improvements.

Four students representing Mississippi and Alabama will lead Mississippi State’s Famous Maroon Band as drum majors during the 2025-26 academic year.

New parking lot, sidewalk closures around McCarthy Quadrangle, Duff Center construction areas begin May 19

The Allen west parking lot that will connect to the new McCarthy Quadrangle will be closed May 19-21 for repaving.  While the Allen east parking lot will remain open, parking permits for Allen east and west lots are also valid in the gated lots on Hardy Road. Due to construction of the Jim and Thomas Duff Center, a portion of the sidewalk along Bully Boulevard in front of The Fresh Food Company will close from May 19-June 2. Bully Boulevard between The Fresh Food Company and President’s Circle is also closed to traffic until mid-August.
