A handsome male quarter horse takes a break from afternoon grazing among the fields of Mississippi State University's Leveck Animal Research Center—also known as South Farm. Home to approximately 70 horses and dedicated to research and teaching, MSU stands proudly among only 26 esteemed horse breeders, including only one other university, recognized by the American Quarter Horse Association across the U.S. and Canada.
