Darwin Week 2016
Mississippi State geology instructor Amy Moe-Hoffman speaks with Starkville eighth graders during a "Careers in Biological Sciences" tour at the university. While visiting campus facilities including the Dunn-Seiler geology and Cobb archaeology museums, the students learned about wildlife conservation, scientific illustration, entomology, paleontology, archaeology, microbiology and forensic anthropology. The tour is part of MSU Darwin Week, which culminates today [Feb. 12] at the Cobb Institute of Archaeology with a 5 p.m. Darwin birthday party reception and 5:30 p.m. presentation by Evan Peacock, a professor in the anthropology and Middle Eastern cultures department.
