Therabot in Stars Lab

Senior electrical engineering major Nandita Gupta from India works on the Therabot dog in Mississippi State's Social, Therapeutic and Robotic Systems (STaRS) Lab. The project aims to develop a robotic therapy support system and to provide a small robotic dog to individuals undergoing therapy, especially those with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Serving as Gupta's mentor is Cindy Bethel, STaRS director and assistant professor in the computer science and engineering department.
