STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s Center for Academic Excellence is hosting a Graduate Record Examination workshop this spring geared toward anyone—whether from MSU or another university—who wishes to take the test for possible entrance into graduate school.
The GRE workshop will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 4 at Old Main Academic Center Room 2050 and will be focused on verbal and quantitative reasoning and analytical writing. The cost is $80, and registration opens Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. To register, visit www.ecommerce.msstate.edu/tlc-workshop/1.1.
“We are dedicated to helping students overcome their biggest obstacles in their approach to the GRE. Whether this is mathematical calculations or just a fear of standardized test-taking, we want to ensure that students leave the workshop feeling confident and hopeful about their GRE test results,” said Laura Drake, a CAE instructor and coordinator.
“Taking the GRE is no small feat and is quite expensive. We want to help students get the scores they both want and need for admission into graduate programs,” continued Drake, who will help instruct the workshop.
