STARKVILLE, Miss.—A local high school student presented his Eagle Scout project to Mississippi State’s T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability Wednesday [Sept. 4].

Matthew Daves, a Starkville Academy sophomore and member of Boy Scout Troop 45, built several sensory boards for the T.K. Martin Center’s preschool. The sensory boards can aid the preschoolaers in language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, and problem solving skills. Pictured with Daves is preschooler Hannah Johnson.
