University reminds faculty and staff of Minor Protection Policy as camp season nears

With summer quickly approaching, along with camp season, MSU is reminding faculty and staff of the need to have all camps, clinics, programs, lessons and activities registered and compliant with MSU’s Minor Protection Policy.  The policy may be found at http://www.policies.msstate.edu/policypdfs/0129.pdf and the implementing procedures may be found at http://www.oci.msstate.edu/files/minorsProcedures.pdf.  Among other items, the policy requires all programs within its scope to register with MSU’s Office of Compliance and Integrity and further requires that all authorized adults working with minors undergo a background check, complete a training module and sign an acknowledgment.  More information about the policy and procedures, as well as all required forms and training are available at http://www.oci.msstate.edu/focus-areas/children-youth-on-campus/
