STARKVILLE, Miss.—Nashville, Tennessee-based singer-songwriter Ben Rector will perform April 5 at Mississippi State.
Sponsored by the university’s student-staffed Music Maker Productions, the 7:30 p.m. concert will be held at Bettersworth Auditorium in historic Lee Hall. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Two years after his first entry into the Top 20 on the Billboard Album Chart, Rector’s new album “Brand New” (Aug. 28, 2015, Aptly Named Recordings) marks a return to the spirit of his youth, when he was a music-crazed teenager playing guitar in his Tulsa, Oklahoma, bedroom.
