STARKVILLE, Miss.—Senior biological sciences major Shawanda F. Brooks of Madison is the 2016 Homecoming Queen at Mississippi State University.
Brooks recently was chosen in campus-wide elections. She and eight class maids will be presented formally during halftime Saturday [Oct. 29] of the MSU-Samford football game in Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field. (For more on MSU game day activities, visit www.hailstate.com).
Seniors John Wesley Williamson of West Point and Haley L. Hobart of Hollandale are this year’s Mr. and Miss MSU. They also were selected in the voting and will be introduced at halftime.
Williamson is a finance major; Hobart, a biochemistry/pre-medicine major.
Each undergraduate class is represented by two maids. The 2016 homecoming court includes:
SENIOR—Marketing/international business and supply chain management major Feifei Zeng of Italy and English and sociology double-major Natalie M. Jones of Flowood.
JUNIOR—Audrey K. Jarvis of Madison, and Alivia P. Roberts of Shannon. Jarvis is a fashion design and merchandising major; Roberts a communication/public relations and broadcasting major.
SOPHOMORE—Communication/public relations major Elise M. Moore of Madison and Kali M. Hicks of Franklin, Tennessee, also studying communication/public relations.
FRESHMAN—Biological sciences/pre-medicine major Reagan M. Moak of Brandon and political science major Emily L. Tingle of Vicksburg.
