MSU will remain closed Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 due to winter weather. Severe winter weather conditions in Central and North Mississippi have made driving conditions extremely dangerous.
MSU-Meridian will open Thursday, Feb. 26 on a delayed start at 9:30 a.m. The MSU Riley Center will be open on a regular schedule.
The expectation is that both MSU campuses will open for normal operations on Friday, Feb. 27.
Please do not attempt to drive in these conditions except in an emergency. Non-essential employees should not report to work Monday evening. Faculty, staff and students are urged to use caution to ensure personal safety.
Monitor MSU social media and the MSU website for updates. Monitor local news outlets for changing conditions and advisories. Starkville campus residence halls remain open.
Perry Cafeteria will open 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26. Other dining facilities will be closed, including those in the Colvard Student Union.
Mitchell Memorial Library will remain closed Thursday. Sanderson Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday. Barnes & Noble Bookstore will remain closed on Thursday.
Students are urged to use caution as they move around campus. Sidewalks and outside stairs will be extremely slippery and most likely covered with frozen precipitation in some areas.
