The student chapter of the Society of American Foresters and the Campus Tree Advisory Committee at Mississippi State will host the 2015 MSU Arbor Day celebration on Friday [Feb. 13] at 10:30 a.m. in the Junction, near the Lloyd-Ricks-Watson Building.
President Mark E. Keenum will be receiving a plaque in recognition of the university's designation by the National Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree Campus USA. The event will last about 30 minutes and conclude with the planting of an oak tree to celebrate Arbor Day.
Students, faculty and staff, as well as the local community, are invited to attend this celebration.
