Ham for the holidays at the MAFES Sales Store
Long known for its cheeses, Mississippi State University now has a fully cooked, boneless ham available in time to reduce cooking stress and adorn holiday tables. Made in Mississippi and packaged at a processing facility in Magee, the 5-pound V Ham is sold in the MAFES Sales Store, which is a unit of the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station.

Registration open for early-2012 PERS workshop
Human Resources Management at Mississippi State is sponsoring a Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) workshop on Feb. 29, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Bost Extension Center on the Starkville campus. The workshop is free for university employees, but pre-registration is required.

Zimmerman joins engineering fundraising staff
Starkville native Paul S. Zimmerman is a new fundraiser for Mississippi State's James Worth Bagley College of Engineering. The Oktibbeha County resident began his official duties in the college last month as an assistant director of development.
French, Hernandez take tech to market
Mississippi State's Office of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer recently formed an agreement with Montreal-based New Forest Industries to use technology created by Rafael Hernandez and Todd French, associate professors in the Bagley College of Engineering's Swalm School of Chemical Engineering.
Pilkinton elected to ASWB post
Melinda Pilkinton of the Mississippi State University Department of Sociology's social work program has been elected to the Nominating Committee of the Association of Social Work Boards. The election was held at the association's annual meeting in Oklahoma City, Okla., in early November.
