Monday deadline for Jefcoat Advising Awards
The Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President is seeking nominations for Mississippi State's Irvin Atly Jefcoat Excellence in Advising Awards. The Jefcoat awards honor both a full-time MSU faculty adviser and a full-time staff adviser for his or her contributions to student advising. The deadline to submit applications is this Monday at 5 p.m.

The Lady Bulldogs play Texas A&M in College Station on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. as part of the 2011 Super Series Challenge... Men's Basketball faces Texas A&M in Madison Square Garden in New York City in the 2K Classic on Thursday at 6 p.m. and will play St. John's or Arizona on Friday at TBA. Volleyball hosts Ole Miss on Friday at 7 p.m. and Alabama at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday... Football is on the road to Little Rock for a 2:30 p.m. game against Arkansas on Saturday. Ward's first book examines segregation tactics
Mississippi State faculty member Jason Morgan Ward is the author of a new book examining 20th century Southern segregation and race-based politics. "Defending White Democracy: The Making of a Segregationist Movement and the Remaking of Racial Politics, 1936-1965," recently published by the University of North Carolina Press, is the assistant professor of history's first book.
'Live Maroon and White Forever' this Wednesday
The Mississippi State University Alumni Association, Campus Activities Board and the Student Association are excited to announce "Live Maroon and White Forever."
