Benjy Mikel to lead international efforts
A respected researcher and campus administrator is assuming a new role at Mississippi State. William "Benjy" Mikel has been named associate vice president for international programs and executive director of the university's International Institute.
Joan Lucas named new general counsel
Joan L. Lucas is Mississippi State's new general counsel. Since June, the Jackson native has been interim leader of the campus office that advises President Mark E. Keenum, the vice presidents and other administrators on legal issues affecting the land-grant university and its operation.
Brandon Jolly joins Office of the General Counsel
Brandon L. Jolly has joined the university's Office of the General Counsel as associate general counsel. A Houston native, he previously was in private practice with the Jackson firm of Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz.
Peaveys speaking at commencement ceremonies
The Mississippi State alumnus who founded the Peavey Electronics Corp. and the alumna who leads the Meridian-based international business are the university's spring commencement speakers this week.
