"Avoiding Heat Stress" employee program offered

May 18, 2011

The Office of Regulatory Compliance & Safety is offering a new program to MSU employees entitled "Avoiding Heat Stress" which addresses the considerations of working in hot environments both indoors and outdoors.

The program will cover the symptoms of heat-related illness, environmental factors that increase the chance of being affected by a heat-related illness, the administrative and engineering controls that can reduce the chance of being affected, and some additional helpful tips.

If you are interested in having employees participate in this free program, please contact Alicia Musselwhite at 662-325-4607 or amusselwhite@research.msstate.edu.
